How many bugs do I need to buy for my pet? One hundred? One thousand? One MILLION?!?!?! Could you imagine one million roaches showing up on your door step...
Our growing pets come in a variety of ages, sizes, and species. Some are exclusively insectivors (leopard geckos), while others are ominvores (bearded dragons). So it's important to understand how many feeder insects we need to provide for our beautiful pets, to make sure they are properly nourished, and not underfed.

How many superworms does my pet need?
Only need two dosson a month
I was woundering if you have crickets that are good for human consumption so i can get my own personal farm started so i can save money. I hear the tropical house cricket is good tasting.
I think adult Bearded Dragons might be able to get by with being fed 2-3 dubia roaches only a couple days a week; but, surely not more than three days per week. My Bearded Dragon has gotten fat because I followed instructions on this web site and others.
During the winter months I drained the pond in my yard for repairs and placed the bull frogs in a “winterized” mini-pond on my back porch. I have 7 Bull frogs in the mini pond who are growing more ravenous each day as winter is coming to and end. They were kept warm enough that hibernation was unnecessary this winter. They now consume anywhere from 2 to 5 crickets a piece each day. I have a small margin for lost crickets of 5-10 a day as well. On a “full feast” day my babies are going through 50 crickets easily! That is getting hard to keep up with since our local pet store does not get large orders. In the next couple of months how much will these numbers grow?
